项目摘要

令和元年度（初年度）に実施した語彙教育理論の内外の研究成果の総括的整理に基づいて、令和２年度は「語彙知識」概念の多様性と指導上の問題点を明確化し、令和3年度は語彙教育の原理面の実践面への展開の諸相を3つの語彙学習方略に限定して再検討し、実践上の課題を特定するための予備調査を実施した（2021年7月、於千葉県柏市立風早北部小学校）。この調査は限定した３つの語彙学習方略（文脈活用方略・語構成要素意識化方略・定義/辞書活用方略）についてより厳密に実践への応用可能性を探索するためのものであるが、年度内には十分、詳細な分析は行えなかった。本年度（令和４）はこの予備調査のデータ（児童の認知面での実態）を語彙学習に関する内外の原理的な研究成果によって精緻に分析する作業を主として実施した。その目的はより広範な視野で多くの地域と学年での本調査を実施するためのものである。しかし、年度内での本調査の実施と分析は、コロナ禍のために遅延している状況にある。なお、本調査に向けての調査項目の再調整には、３つの方略のうち、「定義/辞書活用方略」を「定義法」として厳密に扱う方途を探ったところが要件となる。定義法は授業実践面での研究が先行研究で十分厳密に議論されてこなかったにもかかわらず「国語辞典の活用」として一般化した指導法となっている点で、問題の深刻さが曖昧なまま放置されており、本研究がオリジナルに研究開発する主要な成果と言える。加えて、本研究ではこの方略（定義法）を主要なもう一つの方略（文脈活用方略）との関連で原理的実践的な検討を行っている点も重要である。この「文脈」活用も漠然としかし頻繁に曖昧な指導実態があることからも精緻な議論が不可欠である。本年度はこの点での原理的な開拓のために、学習理論研究に関するハンドブックなどによる先行研究文献の検討も行った。
