项目摘要

本研究の目的は、カザフスタンやロシアとその周辺地域における紀元前2千年紀初頭から中頃にかけての、青銅器とその金属材料（特に銅）の生産と流通の様相を明らかにすることによって、当該期の中央ユーラシア草原地帯における社会経済の特質や地域間の影響をより具体的な次元で説明することである。そのために、①青銅器、②銅製錬遺跡や鋳造遺跡など各種冶金関連遺跡で確認された冶金関連遺構、③各種冶金関連遺跡から出土した冶金関連遺物　について、考古学的・理化学的手法を用いた総合的な研究を実施している。2022年度は、7月にカザフスタン東部の鉱山に立地する青銅器時代の銅生産関連遺跡であるコクタス遺跡の発掘調査に参画し、冶金関連遺物の調査・研究を担当することとなった。コクタス遺跡からは銅粒の噛み込みが確認できるスラグが多量に検出されており、鉱石、銅系金属塊、炉壁も確認されている。カザフスタン側からの許可を得てこれらを日本に持ち帰り、資料化したのち理化学的分析を依頼した。現在その分析結果について検討している。青銅器の研究については、セイマ-トゥルビノ青銅器（以下、ST青銅器）と呼ばれる、紀元前2千年紀の中央ユーラシア草原地帯を代表する青銅器の製作址について情報収集を行った。ST青銅器はシベリアからヨーロッパまで広く分布するが、どこで、誰が作ったのかは未だによくわかっていない。近年、イルティシュ川流域においてクロトヴォ文化に属する工房址がいくつか確認されていること、そこでST青銅器の鋳型も発見されたことを把握した。こうした情報は、ST青銅器ならびに中央ユーラシア草原地帯の青銅器の生産と流通を考える上で極めて重要である。10月にはこの件について国際シンポジウムで発表をした。
