てんかん患者において，発作が十分に抑制されているにもかかわらず，社会生活が困難な患者が存在する．その原因として，てんかん患者の社会的認知機能の低下が考えられ，内側側頭葉てんかんで社会的認知機能の一つである表情認知機能の低下を明らかにした（Tanaka etal.2013.）が，全般性てんかん(idiopathicgeneralized epilepsy, IGE)については未だ十分に明らかになっていない．IGEの発症年齢は25歳以下と若く早期に円滑な社会生活を送るためには発作抑制のみならず社会的認知機能を明らかにし取り組む必要がある．本研究の目的は,動画表情認知課題を用いて特発性全般てんかんの表情認知機能の解明を目指すことである．神経システムの解明は,先行研究にて明らかにした焦点性てんかんの表情認知機能の低下と, IGEとの比較，および脳波・MRI検査より得られた.てんかん性放電と表情認知機能システムとの関連を検討し明らかにする．令和三年度については、前年度のデータを加え再度解析をおこなった（IGE31例、MTLE30例、正常コントロール26例）．解析はIGE、MTLEおよび正常コントロールに対して、表情認知課題の合計点数および各表情６パターンの点数に対して3群でそれぞれｔ検定を行った。結果は令和二年度と同様にMTLEと正常コントロールで合計点数および恐怖表情の点数において有意差を認めたが、群間で年齢の分布に偏りがある（MTLEで年齢が高い）ため、年齢を調整すると群間差に有意差を認めなかった．また．また、IGEではMTLEおよび正常コントロールと比較し正答率に有意差を認めていない．IGEおよびMTLEに関して、年齢に加えて、罹病期間と発作抑制期間について群間で偏りがあり，共分散分析でそれらを調整したが、有意差を認めなかった．令和4年度は年齢、性別をマッチさせた場合などを確認し現在再検討中である．

In the third year of the order and the previous year, there were 31 cases of IGE, 30 cases of MTLE and 26 cases of normal cases.
