项目摘要

本研究は、持続可能性の現況把握を目的とした経済、社会、自然環境の計量が、どのような活動を伴いながら特定の現実を彫琢していくのかを、アンデス地域の具体的事例にもとづいて解明することを目的としてきた。2022年度についても、コロナ禍の継続により本研究の根幹となる当該地域における実地調査を実施することができず、中核となる研究を進展させることはできなかった。一方、2018年に研究着手したエクアドル国のヤスニITT（ITT地域における原油を採掘しないことに対する代償要求の政治経済的枠組み）については、現地のマスメディアや推進派NGO、抵抗派団体、現地アカデミアにおける経済学および生態学分野の論争を、文献資料や電子資料を通じて継続的に追跡して情報と分析のアップデートに努めてきた。当初、ヤスニITTについては、より十全なかたちで研究結果を公表する予定であったものの、研究の大幅な遅れに鑑み、ひとまず暫定的な形で研究結果を公表すべく現有資料の整理と執筆にあたってきた。また、より幅広い視野をもった比較研究では、ボリビアとコロンビアの同種の情勢を追うと同時に、グローバルに展開する「自然の権利」運動とそれを支えるネットワークの分析、さらに炭素排出権取引をめぐる環境経済学と生態経済学の対立構造、政治生態学と生態経済学の補完的でありながらも立場や見解を異にする点に着目し、ヤスニITTなど諸運動をよりマクロな展開に位置付けるべく研究にあたってきた。他方ミクロには、同種の運動で頻繁に言及される先住民の自然観との相互翻訳過程に着目し、左派エコロジストが先住民の自然観を取り入れつつ何をどのように排除するのか、また先住民たちがグローバルに展開するエコロジー言語をどのように流用するのかについて分析を進めてきた。
