2022年度は2019年度末に顕在化したコロナ新型感染症の影響を受け、本研究の課題である消費者のメディア利用時間や生活行動習慣そのものがどう変化しているか、を分析することに集中した。このパンデミックに伴う行動変容やリモートワークへの移行はこうした生活者の行動習慣に劇的な影響を受けていることを懸念したからである。ここが変わってしまえば、大幅にモデルを変更する必要があり、そのためにモデル化の取り組みが遅れた。　2022年度はコロナ感染症流行前に取得した大規模生活者総合調査とコロナ流行下でデータが収集された2020年の同データを比較し、生活者の時間・所得配分を要素とするモデルへの影響を明らかにした。生活者1日の1時間刻みの時間の使い方を比較する限り年齢、性別などの単純なデモグラフィック情報で生活者を分けて比較すれば顕著な変化はみられない。しかし、メディア接触のタイミングや通勤時間など、やはりリモートワークの普及による影響とみられる生活時間の変動は存在している。生活時間の使い方は筆者が懸念するほどセンシティブではなく、生活者の暮らしぶりは、意外にもある種のロバストネスがあるという結果も得られていて、濃淡がある。ただしデモグラフィックでの比較は表面的な比較にすぎない。メディア接触についての変化は異なる分類のもとで、違いが出てくる可能性が残されているので、注意深くデータを精査している。　いずれにせよ、このようなコロナの影響が価値観、メディア接触、消費などでどのように表れているか、明確に把握した上で一般性のあるモデル構築をめざしたいと考えている。一年間、データの精査と比較に費やしたため、2022年度は学会発表などを行っていない。2023年度は、データ分析結果でコロナの影響についてまず明らかにした成果を公表したいと考えている。
