Comparative Research on State Formation from late 19th century to early 20 century

本研究以治安、公共卫生、土地测量和登记为主要研究对象，对19世纪末至20世纪世纪初东南亚和欧洲的“国家监督”制度化进行了比较研究。研究结果显示，这一时期东南亚的殖民国家建设可以说是“监视国家”的形成，欧洲国家也转变为“监视国家”。

This research project has examined the institutionalization of "state surveillance" in Southeast Asia and Europe comparatively from late 19th century to early 20th century, mainly by focusing on policing, public health, land survey, and registration. As a result of the project, it is revealed that the colonial state building in Southeast Asia in this era could be described as the formation of "Surveillance State", and that European states were also transformed into "Surveillance State".
