项目摘要

The aim of this research program is to solve the long open problem concerning the regularity and singularity of extremal solutions to the Liouville-Gelfand type nonlinear eigenvalue problems in a unified way, with no assumptions of the domains or the symmetry of solutions, by combining ideas from the geometric variational problems and the techniques of nonlnear analysis.The research outputs by the research group in the period of the program, 2012-2013, are the following: 20 published papers (including accepted papers), 7 talks at Math. Soc. Japan, 21 talks by the reseach representative at seminars, including abroad.

本研究计划的目的是将几何变分问题的思想与非线性分析技术相结合，统一地解决Liouville-Gelfand型非线性特征值问题极值解的正则性与奇异性这一长期悬而未决的问题，而不需要对区域或解的对称性作任何假设。2012-2013年，发表论文20篇（包括被接受的论文），在日本数学会上发表演讲7次，研究代表在研讨会上发表演讲21次，包括在国外。
