本研究は、高等専門学校(以下「高専」)に在籍する学生への主権者教育の高度化を目指して、合意形成力等の育成との連続性に着目した科目横断・学年進行型教育プログラムの開発を目的としている。体験型授業を通して学習内容の理解を深める実践研究が多く報告される一方、主権者に必要な資質である合意形成や協働性等の能力の重要性への気づきを与える点を重視した授業実践や、合意形成と主権者教育を接続し、学年進行により教育効果を高める手法はほとんど検証されていない。本研究では、これらを実践するために①合意形成力育成と主権者教育を有機的に接続した教育プログラムと教材の開発、②開発教材を用いた授業実践と授業前後での学生の意識変化測定し、③高専の学生を対象とした学年進行に伴う科目横断型の主権者教育効果の追跡調査、④開発教材を活用した他高専での教育実践と効果測定、に取り組み高大接続教育にも資する新たな教育手法を提案する。2022年度は、①と②を中心に該当学生に対して授業を行った。具体的には、高専3年生に対して合意形成ゲームや裁判員制度など合意形成の重要性に気づきを与えるゲームや体験型授業を実施し、学生アンケートを行い学生の意識変化について測定を行った。また2023年度から本格的に学生の追跡調査を行うが、そのためのアンケートの設計や授業計画などを作成し、今年度以降の準備を整えた。学会報告へ参加し、最新の研究の情報収集や先行研究の調査を行った。
