本研究の実施にあたっては、申請の段階で文献検討を実施するとともに、第一段階の研究である、認知症をもつ高齢糖尿病患者に訪問看護を実施する新人訪問看護師へのインタビュー調査に関して、研究計画の作成に着手していた。2021年度内に研究計画を立案、研究者が所属する機関において研究倫理審査委員会に申請し、2022年4月に倫理審査委員会の承認を得た。2022年度前期を通して、約15の訪問看護ステーションの管理者に研究協力の依頼を行い、13施設から研究協力に対する内諾が得られた。その中で、実際に研究参加者の適格基準を満たす新人訪問看護師の紹介が可能であったのは9施設であり、各施設の管理者から研究協力の同意を得て、研究参加候補者に研究説明を実施した。最終的に14名の新人訪問看護師より研究参加の同意が得られ、2022年10月から2023年3月に順次、インタビューを実施した。各インタビューでは、実施後に語られた内容を確認し、必要時に適宜リサーチクエスチョンとインタビューガイドを再検討した。上記のように、2022年度はインタビュー調査によるデータ収集を完了しており、また、数例のインタビューデータに関しては分析も行っていることから、おおよそ計画通りに進捗していると言える。しかし、全てのデータの分析は完了しておらず、十分な概念化までは至っていない。そこで、2023年度以降は、データ分析を完了し、研究結果を公表する。またその結果を踏まえて、第二段階の研究である、中堅～ベテラン訪問看護師を対象としたインタビュー調査のリサーチクエスチョンの具体化と、インタビューガイドの検討を行っていく予定である。
