本研究では金沢の蔵宿、鍋屋高畠家文書のうち未整理となっている学芸・生活文化関連文書の整理・調査を通じて、近世金沢商人の豊かな生活文化の実態を解明することを目的とした。当初目的通り、未整理となっている鍋屋文書の学芸・生活文化関連史料の調査・整理について、加賀藩研究の各分野の研究者や金沢大学日本史学研究室所属の院生・学生の協力を得て、史料調査を進めた。しかし、史料調査については、当初、2000点程度と予想していたよりも未調査の史料点数が多いことが調査を進めていくうちに判明した。さらに、所蔵者より近代・現代文書を1000点程度保存しているという情報を得た。研究協力者とも相談の結果、貴重な金沢の商家文書でもあり散逸を防ぐ必要があると判断されたため、今年度の研究にそれらの文書の整理・調査を加えることとした。その結果、史料調査・整理の点数が大幅に増えたこともあり、当初計画に掲げた史料調査・整理の完了及び目録の発行まで行うことはできなかった。しかし、金沢市内では珍しい商家文書であり、かつ近世後期から戦後に至る一体的な文書群でもあるので、今後も調査を継続して、金沢商人の実態解明につなげていきたい。(既に研究協力者の上田長生氏による継続的な調査が開始されている。)生活文化関連文書では、当主や家族の冠婚葬祭についての式次第を記載した史料が数多く残されており、解読を進めているところである。現段階では、冠婚葬祭には金沢の富裕な町人が名を連ねており、儀礼や献立の詳細を把握することできた。また、茶会記等も残されており、歴代当主が茶道をはじめとする諸芸能にいそしんだことが明らかとなった。とりわけ、8代伊兵衛が和歌・国学にはげんで残した膨大な詠草の全貌が判明しつつあり、加賀藩領内外の歌人・国学者と交流を持ったことが分かる。さらに、明治初年には国学研究をかわれて、小坂神社をはじめとする金沢とその近郊の神職を務め、明治維新期の神道説教で石川県域を奔走した姿がうかがわれた。今後、残る史料の整理を進めて、目録を刊行し、鍋屋高畠家の生活文化の本格的な分析を進めていきたい。

The purpose of this study is to clarify the status of life and culture of modern Kanazawa businessmen. The purpose of the project is to investigate and organize the historical materials related to life and culture of the Shibuya literature, and to obtain cooperation from the students and students of the Japanese History Research Institute of Kanazawa University. (Since the investigation of the research collaborator and the director of Ueda Changsheng began, the investigation has been completed.) The documents related to life and culture are recorded in the order of the wedding ceremony of the main family. At present, the wedding ceremony is held in detail. The tea ceremony was held on behalf of the host. The 8th generation of Japanese soldiers and songs, the study of Chinese culture, the whole picture of the song grass, the Kaga domain, the singer inside and outside, the scholar of Chinese culture, and the exchange of ideas. In the early Meiji period, the study of Sinology was carried out, and in the Meiji period, the Shinto teaching was carried out. In the future, the reorganization of historical materials, the publication of catalogues, and the analysis of the life and culture of the Tanaya Takahata family will be advanced.
