申請者は聴覚特別支援学校において、中学部生徒の発音指導を担当している。聾学校(聴覚特別支援学校)では、主に、日本語100音節を聴覚障害児が発音し、それを聴者が聞こえた通りに書き取り評価する「単音節発音明瞭度」を求める方法で発音の評価が行われてきた。この場合、1音ずつの発音についての評価であり、日常の発話の状態を予測はできても、発話自体の評価ではなく、日常での通じやすさ(了解性)はわからない。そこで本研究では、聴覚障害生徒の日常における発話について、聴覚評価及び音響分析による評価を行い、音韻、韻律の各側面のどの点に不自然さや通じにくさが生じているのかを明らかにすることを目的とした。ポータブルレコーダ及びデジタルビデオカメラを用いて日常の発話場面の録音・録画を行った。評価対象とする発話を抽出し、聴者(大学生)に聞いてもらい、5件法による聴覚的な評価を行ってもらった。また、音声分析ソフトを用いて、発話の音響的な評価を行った。単音節発音明瞭度が高い生徒ほど、日常の発話文も高評価の傾向にはあり、単音節の発音明瞭度が高いほど、日常、文での発話の伝わりやすさも良好なことがうかがえた。しかしなかには、単音節発音明瞭度に比して、文発話の聴覚的評価が高くない場合があった。文の発話において、特定の音の発音があいまいになったり、リズムが崩れたりしているためであった。人工内耳を装用し比較的明瞭な音声で話しているように思える生徒についても、文の中での音の発音やリズムのあいまいさが発話の聞きやすさや発話内容のわかりやすさを低減させている場合があると考えられた。各音だけでなく、単語や文単位での発音を評価することによって、不自然さや通じにくさを生じさせている聴覚障害生徒の発話の特徴が明らかにできる。指導内容や方法を検討し、さらに継続的な学習・評価を行いたい。
