项目摘要

1研究目的:本研究では、限られた授業時間数の中で例文を中心とした効率的なインプットの実践法を開発し、アウトプットへと結びつける効果的な英文法指導法の研究を行う。2研究方法:(1)文法の指導法については明示的説明や演習は最小限にし、インプットを意識した活動を行った。(2)インプットの方法については、音声を中心とし、一定の時間内でのリピーティングや例文の速写を行った。既習文法事項を何度も繰り返すことにより、文法力の定着を図った。また、文構造に注目した文法指導法も行った。ア文法項目ごとに10～15の例文を用意した。イ音声を聞きながら、文法形式に注目したり、チャンクに注目したり、絵などを用いて、その例文の意味をイメージしたりしながら何度も音読をし、文法形式の内在化を図った。ウまた、一定時間内にできるだけたくさんの例文を速写することによって、単語からチャンク、文単位へと短期記憶を広げていく訓練をした。エ下線や丸、四角などの記号を用いて、文の構造を理解するようにした。(3)前期の週1時間では、既習文法事項を用いたタスク活動を行った。この活動ではアウトプットを意識し、既習の文法事項の定着を図った。後期の週1時間では、ペアでのディスカッションやディベートなどの活動を取り入れ、アウトプットを強化した。(4)5月と1月に英語能力判定テストを行い、文法やリスニング、リーディングの伸長度を調べた。3研究成果:速写においては、そのスピードが1.3倍増し、英語能力判定テストでは、文法やリスニング、リーディングにおいて有意差が認められた。本研究で開発した例文中心文法教材のインプット・アウトプット練習によって、基礎力の定着が図れることが確かめられた。
