研究目的1.和算を軸とした原典の調査,解読を通して数論及び円理研究の流れを解明する.2.原典の精読を通し得られる数学史的視点を活かした授業の実践.研究方法,報告活動原書精読と授業研究,学会での研究活動,図書館等での資料調査を進めた.・東北大学附属図書館を訪れ,焼失されたと考えられていた建部賢弘の『算暦雑考』(写本)を幸いにも探し出すことができた.・全国和算研究大会及び京都大学数理解析研究所研究集会「数学史の研究」において講演・数学会秋期総合分科会及び数学教育学会秋期例会に参加・数学教育の会夏の会,冬の会に参加・清泉女子大学市民講座「和算に親しむ」の講演を担当・筑波大学附属高等学校主催研究会,実践数学教育研究会(東京書籍主催)など新学習指導要領に関する研究会に参加研究成果数学史の専門的な研究と高校の授業研究は直接的な関連が薄いとも考えられるが,数学嫌いを生んでいる現状を鑑み,数学の本質的な意義,良さを伝えるため,数学が拠って生まれ来るその歴史を踏まえた授業研究が必要と思われる.たとえ一時代であれ先人達が築き上げた数学的な実りとそれに至る数学的営みをよく理解した上で教壇に立つことが肝要と考え,歴史的視点を踏まえた授業「数学基礎」を開講し7年,今年度は平成24年度先行実施予定の新学習指導要領に新設された「数学活用」,「数学A」の「整数の性質」及び「数学I」「数学A」の[課題学習]の実践に向けての研究に努めた.数論を軸とした原典の研究成果も,授業に良く還元でき,学生達からも確かな反応を得た.その教育活動における研究成果は「数学教育の会」の冊子で報告,一方,原書研究としては東北大学附属図書館で『算暦雑考』(写本)を発見,その調査成果を基に全国和算研究大会及び数理解析研究所において報告の機会を得た.また,英文による関孝和の数論紹介が近日Springer社から刊行の予定である.
