近世の「主婦・主婦権」研究とは民俗学の柳田國男の示す概念を基盤に新史料の発見・蒐集・翻刻により、わが国の近世の「主婦・主婦権」を実証し検証してきたもので、23年度科学研究費補助金2390404017による史料集作成などの成果がある。その成果のもとに当該研究では、近世の「主婦権」と極めて相似性を持つ旗本用人に着目し、用人自身の手になる史料の蒐集・翻刻を行い、史料的解明を試みることを目的とした。この作業によって、一家族を単位とした「家」と、旗本を典型とする領主的「家」との擬似性を史料的に探り、近世の社会構造における「主婦権」研究の一助とするためである。本研究期間内においては、旗本用人野々村治平の筆による「弘嘉雑記」(東京大学史料編纂所、「遣米副使村垣淡路守用人野々村忠実関係史料」請求番号0670-3-13、貴重書)を翻刻、出版した。史料集はこれまでと同様に自宅にてパソコン入力したものを校訂者宮地正人先生に数回に分けて郵送し、朱を入れていただき、それを自力にて印刷用原稿に仕上げ、印刷所に持ち込み、私家版史料集(非売品)としてまとめるという方法を採った。この方法は安価になり、印字の誤りも少ない。完成した史料集は希望される公共・大学図書館(法学部を有する)へは送料当方負担、個人研究者へは送料先方負担にて寄贈した。補助金30万円は調査のための交通費、校訂者宮地正人先生への謝金、史料集印刷代、郵送費として使用した。
