【目的】本研究の目的は, 体つくり運動領域を中核として低学年児童の運動習慣形成を視野に入れたプログラムを開発するとともに, 低学年の体育活動全般を通してその効果を検証することであった. なお、本研究に参加した児童は、1, 2年生男女計207名であった。【方法】対象の児童に次の調査・測定を10月に実施した。それらは、新体力テスト及び簡便ライフスタイル調査(20項目*文部科学省準拠調査を含む)であった。その後、登校後の自由参加による運動プログラム(ダンスーリズム運動)を提供し、週1～2回行った。また体つくり運動の授業は8時間構成で実施した。授業では、投動作を中心に多様な動きを数多く取り入れ、全身をバランスよく動かすことに留意した。保護者に対しては、調査及び測定の内容を伝えるとともに、朝の運動プログラムについても通知した。析は次の手順で行った。体力合計点を算出し、平成25年度の全国平均値を基準として、学年・男女別に偏差値を算出した。対象人数の分布を考慮し、体力上位群(偏差値55以上)、体力中位群(46-54)、体力下位群(45以下)の3群に分けた。次に、体力とライフスタイルとの関連をより鮮明にするため、体力上位・下位群の2群間でその比較を行った。χ^2検定を用いて体力とライフスタイルの関連を検証した。統計的有意水準は、p<.05に設定した。【結果】本研究で得られた主な結果は次の通りであった。①体力下位群は上位群に比べ、日頃の運動時間が少なく、一方でテレビ等視聴時間が長く、起床-就床時刻も遅い傾向を示した。易疲労感と体力と排便習慣と体力(男子)には有意な差が認められた。(p<.05)。②また有意差はないが、体力下位群は上位群に比べ、「時間を守って行動することや美味しく食事をする」ことができない、「体を動かすことや勉強すること」を好まない傾向を示した。朝の自由活動の観察からもそのことが窺われた。
