農作業をデータベース化する対象として、水田(稲)、果樹(ブドウ)および堆肥生産・散布作業を選定した。水田および果樹については対象圃場を特定し、作業の内容を圃場管理、作物管理に大別し、それぞれを更に耕耘、代掻き等および摘果、収穫等の様に作業を細分化して各作業項目毎に労働時間、機械稼働時間、資材量を導出した。これを平成8年、9年および10年度について行い、農作業データベースを作成した。堆肥生産・散布作業については、作業を堆肥生産、積載、運搬(往復)、散布作業に分類し、それぞれの圃場作業時間、機械速度、積載量を測定し、前述の水田および果樹園での機械散布を想定した堆肥散布作業モデルを作成し、圃場作業シミュレーションを行った。この結果から、現有する2台の堆肥散布機、大型(平均積載量2500kg)、小型(平均積載量1500kg)を用いた場合、同面積の圃場ついては運搬距離約520m以上では大型、以下では小型の使用が作業時間の短縮に繋がる事を明らかにした。それぞれの圃場作業量は運搬距離(0〜2000mの範囲で推定)に伴って漸減し、大型0.32→0.18ha/h、小型0.36→0.14ha/hであり、運搬距離520mで交差して優劣が逆転する事から、運搬距離で機械を使分ける事によって作業効率の向上が期待できることを確認した。また、果樹収穫量については全体収穫量の他、樹ごとの収穫量を求めたが、収穫の判断は作業者の主観によるためばらつきが大きく、今後の対応策を検討する必要がある。また、パーソナルコンピュータ2台(新規導入設備、デスクトップ型およびノートブック型各々1台)に、OSとしてWindows NT4.0ServerおよびWindows95を導入し、TCP/IPによる小規模コンピュータネットワーク(LAN)を構築した。これに新規に導入したSQL Serverを新たに組込み、既に作成してある農作業データベースの移設を行った。現在、SQLデータベース対応の農作業スケジュールソフトウェアの改良および作成を行い、農作業マネージメントシステムの構築を行っている。
