1『熊野権現金剛蔵王宝殿造功日記』研究の成果本書が、白河院の御意を承けてなされた、快実による熊野本宮宝殿造営の功を仕立て上げた偽書であることを解明した。具体的には、本書は一方で藤原宗忠『中右記』抄に拠りつつも、他方では自在に白河院熊野金峯御参詣記事を捏造し、あたかも白河院が熊野・金峯を一対・一連の聖山として篤く信仰していたかの如くに装い、さらにその文脈にのせて、架空の熊野本宮宝殿造営・供養という歴史的事業を仕立て上げ、一書にまとめた書物であった。2天理本系『大峯縁起』研究の成果(1)本書が院政期より代々の熊野三山検校に相伝されたという、江戸期の本山派の系譜類の所説は信じがたいが、室町初期には本山派でも重用されていた事実は確認できる。(2)関連する鎌倉期成立の修験道書『大峯秘所私聞書』について、唯一の伝本である京大図書館島田文庫蔵本を翻刻し、同本書写の背景を推察した。3中世修験道資料調査の成果中世において修験道具が、その意味のみならず、その由来にも支えられ存立していた事実を確認した。主な資料は『当道十二道具大事』『資道什物記』ほか。
