今年度は、「アジア地域におけるハブ空港・港湾の立地選定に関する研究-新しい都市システムの再編・構築に向けて-」という研究課題において、幾つかの事例研究を行った。特に、日本・ソウル間の航空ネットワークに注目し、国際航空分野におけるハブ・アンド・スポークシステム(HASS)について検討を行った。そしてこの研究成果を『国際航空分野におけるハブ・アンド・スポークシステム-日本ソウル間の航空ネットワークからの考察を中心に-(交通学研究、平成13年度刊行予定)』としてまとめた。この中では、(1)日本の諸都市とソウル間の航空ネットワークの構造と特徴の把握、(2)韓国系航空企業の日本路線における変遷の概観、(3)日本発国際航空旅客のソウルでの乗り継ぎ状況に着目した上での韓国系航空企業によるHASSの展開に対する考察、(4)東京におけるノースウェスト航空のハブ化戦略、及び(5)イギリス・アムステルダム間の航空ネットワーク、について具体的に検討した。そして、1.現在の国際航空輸送体制下での国際航空市場におけるHASS構築のケースを分類し、散見される事例をその分類に従って整理した。2.韓国系航空企業が構築した日本・ソウル間の航空ネットワークを詳細に分析し、日本の立場を認識した上で、今後の国際航空・空港政策について検討した。という2点が、今年度の研究成果として挙げられる。当初申請した研究目的・研究実施計画の中で、「ハブ形成原理の解析的・数学的分析」については時間的制約で十分にはできなかった。今後はこのテーマについて継続して取り組んでいきたい。

This year, we will conduct case studies on the topic of "Study on the Selection of Airport and Harbor Sites-Reorganization and Construction of New Urban Systems."
