项目摘要

本年度は、戦前期からの歴史をもつ共学大学において、(1)学校行事や同窓会の場で大学の「伝統」にまつわるいかなる言説が語られているかを分析し、(2)さらにそれらの場で語られる「伝統性」に対して、後輩にあたる在校生たちがいかなる意識をもつのかを調査した。学校行事や同窓会の場では、挨拶に立った同窓生(同窓会役員など)や教師によって、学校史の連続性や同窓生たちの「一体感」が繰り返し語られていることが分かった。また、そこで強調される大学文化は、実際そこで一時期を過ごした全ての者たちの文化を反映しているというよりも、一部の側面(運動部や応援団など)を強調して象徴的に用いられていることも明らかになった。これらに対して在校生たちは、必ずしもそこで強調される「一体感」を自らに連続するものとして捕らえるわけではない。むしろ在校生たちが感じるのは「一体感」よりも「違和感」であることが明らかになった。なお、共学大学の場合、これら行事の場面で強調される大学の「伝統」は、得てして男性文化的な側面が強いが、大学の「伝統」に対する在校生の「一体感」/「違和感」には、それほど顕著なジェンダ-差はみられなかった。なお、現在、これまでの研究で明らかになったことを元に、今後若干の調査・分析を付け加え、最終的な知見を発表する準備をしているところである。

This year, we will analyze the history of the university,(1) the behavior of the school and the "system" of the university,(2) the "system" of the university, and (3) the consciousness of the students. The present, future research, analysis, and preparation for the final findings are presented in this paper.
