本研究の目的は,学校における音楽授業において,日本音楽の伝統的な特性を生かした義務教育のカリキュラムを開発することにある。研究の概要は以下の通りである。○まず,日本語を話す日本の子供が持つ音楽的感性や音楽的・身体的特性,日本人の音楽創造・音楽把握の在りようについて考察するとともに,日本伝統音楽のとらえ方について,再検討を行い,伝統音楽を生み出す身体を基盤とし,動き・息,ことば・ふし,音色といった視点からのカリキュラム構成を行い,「日本音楽のカリキュラム構築にむけて〜日本人の認識法や音楽的感覚によるアプローチ〜」として『新潟大学教育人間科学部紀要 第9巻第1号』等に論文としてまとめた。○この理論をもとに本年度は最終年度として,小学校及び中学校における授業実践を行い,理論と実践の統合を試み,具体的な提案を行った。・新潟大学教育人間科学部附属長岡小学校2年生に対する実践「日本の子どものための音楽プログラム その6 こくごをうたう〜ことばに出して動いてみよう ふしぎとうたがとびだすよ〜」・新潟大学教育人間科学部附属長岡中学校1年生に対する実践「発見!日本の伝統的なうたの魅力長唄 橋弁慶」一連の研究により,小学校から中学校までの日本音楽の授業について具体的に提示するとともに,ことばや身体といった視点を示すことにより,いわゆる音楽の諸要素とは異なる日本音楽へのアプローチ法を提案している。○これらの研究成果は,日本音楽教育学会プロジェクト研究,同日韓シンポジウム,第七回中日音楽比較研究国際シンポジウムなどで発表するとともに,論文,著書として公開している。
