Relation Between Ancient Chinese Mithology and Taoism Focused on the Problem of Body and Mind

This research is aimed to connect ancient Chinese myth and Taoism as latter is regarded one of the successor of ancient Chinese mythological thinking. Considering the fact that many east asian religions insist on the techniques using meditation and yogic practice the research project is focused on the problem of body and mind. As Chinese religion has influenced upon various east asian cultures the author also investigated the factor of Japanese religion influenced by the Chinese one with special reference to the practices using meditation interrelating body and mind.The research consist of three categories, e.g. (1)collecting the sources of ancient Chinese mith, Taoism, Japanese religion and mithology, and also some special literature, (2)field studies(limited only the fields of Japanese religion), (3)writing articles and books.The themes of field studies including (1)meditative body action related the religious faith in Ursa Major (2)interrelation between the religion of mountain and the religion of sea with special reference to the faith in the sun and the moon (3)Ecological geography especially developed in east asia named Feng-shui. These studies are to be compiled and published within 2 or 3 years.The articles are focused on the problems of relation between ancient Chinese myth and Taoism. The themes are about the myth of the beginning of the world that later transformed its nature and described as the ritual of sexial intercource, the myth of the wind and water related with ecological geography, relation between the art of inner alchemy and the myth of the sun and the moon, etc.
