1 本研究は、本年度内において中部日本言語地図の解釈を支援する調信調査を行うことを目的としている。本企画の当初、中部地方の9県域の全小学校4171地点を対象にした通信調査を実施する予定で研究費を申請していた。しかし実際は170万円が配分されることとなった。従って計画の縮小が必要となった。そこで、中部地方9県域の全中学校1775地点を対象にした通信調査を実施することへと変更することにした。即ち具体的な県別地点数は、次の通りである。新潟県264、富山県87、石川県114、福井県82、山梨県101、長野県197、岐阜県207、静岡県292、愛知県431 (合計1775地点)2 通信調査のための「方言調査票」は、方言地理学の祖G.Wenkerの40質問文と呼応させる意図により40項目に調整しなおした。本方言調査票は、現在作業中の「中部日本言語地図」における調査項目と対応している。又、その言語地図に登載された方言事象を参考例として以下のように質問文の後に掲げて、臨地調査と通信調査とを連動せしめる工夫を行った。(1)朝のあいさつ 朝早く近所の目上の人と道で出会って丁寧に挨拶をするとき、どのように言いますか。(参考:オハヨーゴサンス、オハヨーゴサリマス、オハヨーゴザイマシタ、オハヨーゴワス、オハヨーゴイス、オハヨーサン・・・・中略)3 本年度内では(1)調査票の作成、(2)調査票の印刷、(3)調査票の発送作業、(4)資料整理作業が主な仕事である。今後は、資料の分析的な研究を行ってゆくことになる。
