项目摘要

本年度(平成6年度)は、鍋島本藩における古文書類の残る資料と細部の検討をおこない、おおよその調査を終了した。これによって鍋島本藩の古文書については、資料調査をおおむね完了したことになる。その結果、「鍋島文庫現存漢籍の収集について」と題する論考を、平成7年2月付にて発表することができた。これは、鍋島本藩における漢籍の収集史の一環として、明治初年の佐賀の乱による膨大な書籍の焼失後における、新たな漢籍の集積とそれらの収集経路について、可能なかぎり解明しようとしたものであり、現文庫成立史上最も具体性に富む考察となったといえる。ただ蔵書印による書籍の収集経路の推定が中心となったため、蔵書主体の特定になお未解決の部分を残すところがあり、今後の資料による訂正・増補が必要である。またこれに引き続き、鍋島文庫前史としての、江戸時代における漢籍収集史を纒める必要がある。これが本藩文庫研究における来年度(平成7年)の研究目標のひとつとなろう。また本年度においては、上記の調査・研究と並行して、多久歴史民俗資料館の諸資料調査をおこなった。これは特に『御屋形日記』に代表される多久家の資料で、本藩文庫に劣らぬ江戸時代資料としての質と量をもつものであり、現在元文三年まで調査を終えている。科学研究費の支給は本年度までであるが、引き続き調査を継続する予定でる。多久家は早くから文教政策に熱心で、邑校東原精舎の建設、多久聖廟の構築等、鍋島支配下における文教政策上特異な位置を占めるものであり、本研究における重要な研究対象の一つである。本年度の第二回現地調査を三月に予定しているが、多久家資料の調査を中心として実施の予定である。
