本科研費申請時点(平成4年10月)から本報告書作成時点(平成6年3月)までにおいて、階数3以上の旗上可移な局所双対極空間の分類に関して、次が得られた。(1)階数が4以上ならば、一点の剰余空間は古典的極空間ないしは散在型A_7-空間の双対となる。(A.Pasiniとの共同研究。研究発表1)(2)一点の剰余空間が散在型A_7-空間の双対である旗上可移な局所双対局空間は16点上の階数4のある幾何(Steiner系S(24,8,5)から構成される)に限る。(A.Pasiniとの共同研究。研究発表2)(3)階数5の局所双対極空間で、フィッシャー単純群F_<23>が旗上可移に作用するものがA.A.Ivanovにより構成されたので、当初の私の予想(旗上可移な階数5の局所双対極空間はすべて極空間から適宜な方法により構成される。)は修正を要する。(4)(3)で触れたA.A.Ivanovの結果と1991年に得られた私の分類(研究発表3)を合わせると、階数が4以上の旗上可移な局所双対極空間で一点の剰余空間は交代形式かユニタリ形式に付随する古典的極空間の双対であるものの分類がおおよそ完成した。以上が成果である。なお研究発表4は階数3の旗上可移な局所双対極空間で一点の剰余空間が非古典的な極空間であるものに関する(1992年に得られた)成果である。
