This is the last year to research The Creation of Psychology of Picture Books Through Analyzing Their Subjects based on Grant-in Aid for Scientific Research (C). I have finished the final report with basic materials of A Data Base for Picture Books (D.B.P.B.) for understanding a child's psychology that I proposed.I have attempted to create new child psychology of picture books to analyze children's psycholigy. We cannot grasp whole personality of an individual child in a statistic way. I would like to establish a new psychological perspective on the research of individual child psychology. It is wellknown that exellent authors and illustrators of picture books have the spirit that they had in the childhood still alive inside. I have analized how authors and illustrators depict a child and her/his development through analyzing their excellent picture books.I started to decide 6 subject headings first-- [Everyday experiences and Self-reliances], [Self-image and Identity], [Friends and Play], [Character], [Child psychology], [Family relationships]. I have next selected 280 subjects under those 6 subject headings. D.B.P.B.has some 1000 picture books now.I have shown an outline of psychology of picture books to depict how children grow up their ability of self-dialogue independently through analyzing picture books which were found nuder a subject [Self-dialogue] in D.B.P.B.
