本研究ではまず、情報ネットワーク関連調査資料から「製造企業、卸売り業者、小売業を含む流通システム内における、構築された企業間オンライン情報ネットワーク」を、その形態的特徴から、製造企業主導型、卸売り主導型、地域異業種卸共同型、小売り主導型等に分類した。そこでそれぞれの情報ネットワーク型について、各企業の取引費用、情報ネットワークの加入料や回線使用料などの情報コストや製品差別化等の要素を考慮し情報ネットワークの戦略的利用の側面に注目しつつ、製品需要に関する非対称情報ゲーム理論を応用して、新たな経済理論モデルの構築し分析を試みた。その結果得られた成果は、1.小売りや卸のみが需要情報を持ち情報レントをもつケースではそれぞれ製造業者、卸業者等の他社へその情報を教えるインセンティブがないこと、2.1.の状況を打破するため、情報レントのない企業が、情報ネットワーク構築の誘因を持つこと、3.経済合理性に基き情報ネットワークが構築されるために、そのため得られる情報レント、情報コスト、取引費用の減少分の間に成立する条件、を明きらかにしたこと、4.それぞれの情報ネットワーク型型の特徴は、取り引きされる財が買い回り品であるか最寄り品であるかまた、代替や製品差別化の程度など流通そのものを特徴づける財の性質と緊密な関連があること、5.情報通信サービス産業における規制緩和などの産業政策が回線使用料などの通信サービス料金の低廉化をもたらすならば情報ネットワークに加入する企業数が増加し、経済厚生を増加させる可能性があること、等が明きらかとなった。これら成果の一部が本報告書の(11研究発表欄)記載の論文である。

This study classifies information generation into three categories: manufacturing enterprise, sales industry, small sales industry, distribution system, information generation system, and structure among enterprises.
