Study of patients who had body image changes, during home recuperation. continued to get basic data, after which reserch to elucidate return to normal social functions.1.Research concerning return to social normality, of patients recuperating at home, after surgery changed body image. Use written inquiry and recieve data concerning patient recuperation at home, after surgery changed body image. A total of 76 inquiries and recieved data from patients to clarify concern on importance of recuperation at home to return to social normality.Results : No matter how different the surgery, found a common feature of all facters of Pain, Mind, Life, social Support. Factors differed, depending upon progress of time after leaving hospital. received agreement to research patients who are scheduled for surgery for Excision of Whole Larynx, Installation of Artificial Anus, Breast removal. Adopt method of interview and participant observation and recieve data. At present, put in order of data recieves.2.Research nurses understanding of body image.Revised the preceding year written inquiry and research nuse's body image. Out of 267 Nurses : those having experience to observe body image change in patients were 157, and Nurses not experiencing body image change patients, 110. difference of understanding for oneself body image and approach to patient and distinct actual condition. A tendency is for body image scores to be low for nurses without experience than nurses with experience. Also, result of investigation shows no approach to patients after they leave hospital and be discontent for nursing oneself.During the term of 1996 We intend to make written inquiries to patients and nurses relating to return to social normality. Investigate how these between factor to factors relate and promoto nursing for return to social normality of patients who had surgery which affects body image. Intend to point of view on QOL and will examine.
