パソコン通信の対話機能を利用して遠隔教員研修を行うための,支援教材(マルチメディアCD-ROMタイトル)の開発を通して,次のような知見を得た.1.研修内容の選定と教材の構成に関して試作用に選定した研修内容は,研究代表者も参画している概念連想法による授業の設計と評価である.このような授業研究のための理論的な内容は,汎用性が高く,教材の違いを吸収することができる.また,ハウツ-的な内容がもてはやされる昨今,このような理論的研修内容は少なく,有用である.内容には,動画データをはじめ,文字,図表,静止画等を盛り込み,メニューからの選択で各部へリンクするような教材内容の構成を行うことで,利用者の興味に応じた使用が可能となる.動画データは,VTRで録画した実際の授業から,展開がわかる形で編集を行い作成することができる.また,文字や図表のデータは学会等での発表資料から収集可能であるが,著作権が絡む場合も考えられるため,きちんとした対応が必要である.2.教材の開発とCD-ROM化に関して教材内容を構成する文字や図表類,静止画については,データ容量が小さく取り扱いが容易であるが,動画は短時間でも巨大なファイルになるため,処理用コンピュータに大容量の内部メモリが必要になる.また,取り込んだ巨大動画ファイルを保存するために,大容量の外部記憶装置を必要とする.マルチメディアタイトルとして教材内容相互を関連付けるには,専用のソフトウェアが必要となる.しかし,市販タイトルのような完成度を望には人的資源も,時間も大幅に不足するため,その確保が重要な課題となる.
