The goal of this project is to deepen and intensify the successful collaboration with several colleagues in St Andrews (UK)on topics in computer algebra. Our main objectives are: 1. Extending our work on search algorithms based on directed graphs. This includes optimising the implementation as well as extending the theoretical concepts. 2. Developing our algorithms for calculating canonical images even further and extending the methods to more general structures. 3. Exploring ideas for search algorithms that use homomorphic images of groups.
