英文摘要
The so far unnoticed Enchiridion of town clerk Samuel Rappold (1613–1668) is a unique textual witness of private praxis pietatis during the age of Baroque. The goal of this project is to develop for the first time a commentated, historical-critical hybrid edition of the manuscript. Rappold's texts include prayers and church hymns of various authors, biblical sayings as well as autobiographical notes and inventive spiritual texts. The edition will document the medial expressions of spirituality that are combined in the manuscript and stresses the aspect that different literary genres can be used with flexibility and transition. Therefore the manuscript is highly important to enlighten the practice of piety and knowledge of a theological layman. The afterword will exploit Rappold's work within history of piety, literature and theology. Register allow for focused study of the manuscript. The edition will be provided both as a printed work and as a hypertext version in open access. The electronic form will make available many additional features (for example, links to other sources, to reference volumes and facsimiles) and search functions. This approach will serve the interdisciplinary and critical analysis and research.
