项目摘要

本研究の目的は、印象派の画家クロード・モネ（1840-1926）が、第三共和政期のフランスにおいて公的評価をいかに得たのかを明らかにすることである。したがって、初年度においては以下の研究を行った。①第三共和政期において公的に認められた美術作品の性格や公認のプロセスを、美術史学のみならず政治史を中心とした歴史学の知見を活かしながら浮かび上がらせる。②それと並行してモネの作品が国家買い上げとなった事例を分析して、公的評価の形成を明らかにする。①に関して、先行研究の整理や資料収集に努めた。美術と政治にまたがる研究だけでなく、政治史の領域も収集対象としたため、多くの先行研究を調査する必要が出てきた。②に関して、モネの公的評価を調査するなかで、《ルーアン大聖堂》が1907年に国家買い上げとなり、その関連資料がフランス国立公文書館にあることをつきとめた。この事柄は、先行研究のなかではほとんど注目されていない。そこでフランス国立公文書館に赴き、国家買い上げに関する資料の閲覧、写真撮影を行ってきた。一方で、当時国家買い上げとなった作品はリュクサンブール美術館に収蔵されたのであるが、そこの収蔵期間が終了した作品はルーヴル美術館に入るか、地方の美術館に送られるかの二つに一つという運命をたどる。フランスでの現地調査では、その地方に送られた作品を実見すべく、リール、ナンシー、レンヌ、ナント、トゥールの諸都市の美術館に足を運んだ。これにより、当時の国家買い上げされた作品がどのような傾向にあるかを調べることができた。現地調査実施後は、収集した資料を基に分析をしている。次年度では、《ルーアン大聖堂》の国家買い上げが、モネの画歴のなかでどのような意義を持ち、どのように実現したのかを研究発表と論文のかたちで公表していきたい。

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Impressionist painters (1840-1926) and the public during the Third Republic. In the early years, the following research was conducted. During the Third Republic, the political history of fine arts was centered on the political history of fine arts. The works were collected in the art museum and sent to the local art museum. The works of local investigation and local distribution can be found in art museums in cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Guangzhou, Guangzhou and Guangzhou. This is the first time I've ever been to a school. After field investigation, collect and analyze the data. In the next year, the national purchase of "The Great Hall of the People" was carried out, and the significance of the painting was maintained. The research report was published.
