本年度は新カント派の主な論者にかんして、さらには1870-80年代フランスの一般的歴史状況にかんして、一次文献および二次文献の収集・読解を遂行していくことが、研究の中心的活動となった。新カント派の論者にかんしては、ジュール・バルニ、シャルル・ルヌーヴィエらの哲学者の著作を検討する一方で、他方においては彼らの影響を受けた政治家であるレオン・ガンベッタ、ジュール・フェリー、シャルメル-ラクールらの言説が読解を試みた。そしてその背景となる一般的歴史状況にかんしては、当時の議会制度、教育制度、植民地政策などにかんする文献を調査し、知識の蓄積をはかった。こうした研究の過程で注目したのが、新カント派による政治哲学・道徳哲学の構築が、この時代に今日の心理学までをも含む広い領域のなかで行なわれているという点である。この視角をふまえながら、同時期の心理学から精神医学にいたる領域を深査しつつ、とりわけ「記憶」の問題を核としながら、道徳科学の成立を辿ろうという試みを模索中である。すなわち政治的な問題を、一方では心理学的な問題として、他方では医学的な問題として読み替え、その独自の理論形成を明らかにしようとするのだ。このようにかなり広い領域にわたる学問分野を対象としつつ、知識の蓄積と分析を試みているのであるが、研究活動をできるかぎり効率的に行うために、購入した情報機器およびソフトウェアを使用しながら、データベース構築の作業も遂行している。このような研究活動を今後も引き続いて継続し、さらにはより総合的な分析を試みて、来年度以降は論文執筆などのかたちを通じて、研究活動のまとめと報告にも重点を移していく予定である。
