In French law, apart from the traditional concept of "personne" as owning rights and duties, new concepts of a human being are starting to appear that are currently referred to as "personne humaine" and "etre humain.""Personne humaine" is a concept connected to the subject of the dignity (dignite) of a specific entity who possesses a physical body regardless of whether the body is currently granted legal status as a "personne" by domestic law. Also, another conclusion that has been reached is that "etre humain" is a relevant concept regarding the biological aspect of a presumed individual, who is considered autonomous to some extent, and presumed to possess a human nature. These concepts represent not only physical forms which can be defined as a "personne" but also the existence of a legal status for the human body in the forms of a fetus or a corpse.
