WE EXAMINED THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN NUTRITION, NEUROTRANSMITTERS AND BRAIN FUNCTION UNDER THE LOADING OF SOME KINDS OF STRESSOR. HOWEVER, AT FIRST, WE STUDED THE EFFECT OF SOME FOOD COMPONENTS FOR BRAIN NEUROTRANSMITTERS.1. MYCOLEPTODONOIDES AITCHISONII:IN THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT CHOLINERGIC NEURON DEFICIENCY MAY BE ONE OF THE MAIN CAUSE OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE-TYPE DEMENTIA AND NERVE GROWTH FACTOR (NGF) AFFECTS THE GROWTH, MAINTENANCE AND PLASTICITY OF CHOLINERGIC NEURONS IN BASAL FOREBRAIN. NGF IS A NEUROTROPHIC FACTOR THAT HAS IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS IN BOTH GROWTH AND MAINTENANCE OF PERIPHERAL SYMPATHETIC NEURONS. FURTHERMORE, NGF PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN BRAIN DEVELOPMENT IN INFANCY. VARIOUS KINDS OF NUTRIENTS AND FOOD COMPONENTS, DEMONSTRATED THE EFFECTS ON NEUROTRANSMITTERS SUCH AS CATECHOLAMINES AND INDOLEAMINES. FOR EXAMPLE, FOOD CONTAINING TYROSINE OR ASPARTAME RAISED THE LEVELS OF CATECHOLAMINES OR INDOLEAMINES IN RAT BRAIN, RESPECTIVELY. ENHANCING EFFECT OF MYCOLEPTODONOIDES AITCHISONII ON SYNTHESIS OF NERVE GROWTH FACTOR AND RELEASING DOPAMINE IN THE RAT BRAIN. MYCOLEPTODONOIDES AITCHISONII AFFECTS BRAIN NERVE GROWTH FACTOR CONCENTRATION IN NEWBORN RATS. CONDUCTOR COMPOUNDS OF PHENYLPENTANE IN MYCOLEPTODONOIDES AITCHISONII MYCELIUM ENHANCE THE RLEASE OF DOPAMINE FROM RAT BRAIN STRIATUM SLICES.2. THEANINE OF GREEN TEA EXTRACTS:THEANINE, γ-GLUTAMYLETHYL AMIDE, IS THE MOST ABUNDANT AMINO ACIDS IN JAPANESE GREEN TEA EXTRACT. CACAO:CACAO WHICH IS THE MAIN COMPONENTS OF CHOCOLATE OR COCOA CONTAINES MANY PYSIOLOGICAL FUNCTIONAL COMPONENTS SUCH AS POLYPHENOL, THEOBROMINE, OR CAFFEINE.
