英文摘要
New fluoroalkyl end-capped oligomers containing cationic segments such as ammonium andDimethyl (octyl)ammonium units were prepared by the use of fluoroalkanoyl peroxide as a key intermediate. These fluorinated oligomers containing cationic segments are easily soluble not only in water but also in common organic solvents, and were able to reduce the surface tension of water quite effectively with a clear breakpoint resembling a critical micelle concentration, the same as for low-molecular weight fluorinated surfactants. More interestingly, the modified poly (methyl methacrylate) or cellulose surface treated with these fluorinated cationic oligomers was shown to have a strong hydrophilicity with a high antibacterial activity. Therefore, these fluoroalkyl end-capped oligomers are applicable to new functional materials possessing not only the surface antibacterial activity but also the surface active property imparted by fluorine.
