A Study on Improvement of Learning Environment for Pupils in Hospital Class Room in Two Ways Communication through the Internet

In the past three years, our research team has been focused in improving a learning environment in a hospital classroom that caters for elementary school pupil undergoing medical treatment within the university's hospital. The primary goal of our research promotes a learning environment for the hospitalized pupils so that they can realize similar learning as conducted in their regular classroom. With the application of information and multimedia technologies, the hospital classroom provides the pupil a learning environment with an array of resources through computer assisted tools and the Internet. The Internet facilitates links between the pupils and people outside their hospital via electronic mail, and TV meeting systems. This project has produced substantial results and it suffices to say the use of information technologies in such a system is feasible and effective. By using broadband technologies alongside IT and multimedia tools we hope to upgrade opportunities for learning in the hospital classroom.
