Social-philosophical Research of the Urgent problem of Japan in 21st century

We had 15 general research meetings and 31 of more specified meetings, and published three volumes of research reports, which includes more than 34 articles, 17 surveys and other materials. We took up various themes concerning society ; politics, economy, medicine, environment, science and technologies, information ethics, engineering ethics, business ethics, war and peace, terrorism, nation, punishment, gender, family, social welfare, education, art and so on. Thanks to the financial supports by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research, we had the chances to invite the distant presenters and expand fields of study, though we had already achieved satisfactory results of a joint study on the field of medicine and environment for about fifteen years. As a part of the results of this research, we have edited and will publish For the People who Study Public Philosophy, edited by Kazuyosi Abiko and Mitsuo Tanimoto. (Sekaishisosha, June 2004 provisional publication.) We still have an original target to overcome in the mutual relationship and general grasp of the subjects of contemporary society. We would like to pursue this subject on the next joint research.
