项目摘要

本研究は、大学院教育に焦点をあて、オフキャンパス教育により学ぶ学生に対する学生支援サービスのあり方を探るとともに、その具体的な改善策を提言することを目的とする。なお広範な学生支援サービスのなかから、大学院レベルの研究・教育の遂行に不可欠な図書館サービスを取り上げ、新しい教育形態にふさわしい大学図書館のあり方についても検討を行うものである。具体的には、これまで大学図書館が提供してきた各種サービスのうち、大学院生にとって最も重要であるレファレンス・サービス、文献資料貸出しサービス、文献資料複写サービスの三種類に焦点をあて、図書館側のサービス提供の実態と、学生の利用実態等を明らかにする。これらの結果を横断的に分析することにより、図書館サービスの課題を探ることを目的とする。2004年度は、下記の点について研究を実施した。○我が国におけるオフキャンパス教育の現状と学生支援サービスに関する発表と意見交換2004年10月、カナダのヴィクトリア大学(ブリティッシユ・コロンビア州ヴィクトリア市)で開催された第18回Japan Studies Association of Canada (JSAC)において、本研究の成果について、一部とりまとめたものを発表した。なお、オフキャンパス教育先進国であるカナダが会場地であることから、多数の専門家も出席し、活発な意見交換と情報収集を行うことができた。この成果は2005年に刊行される。

This study focuses on the development of university education, and proposes specific strategies for improving university education. Student support services, university research, education and implementation are not available to the public, and new forms of education are available to the public. Specifically, the university library provides all kinds of services, the university students provide the most important services, the document data loan services, the document data duplication services focus on the three types, the library side services provide the situation, the student utilization situation, etc. The results of this study were analyzed in detail. In 2004, the following points were recorded. October 2004, the 18th Japan Studies Association of Canada (JSAC) was opened, and the results of this research were presented. Most of the participants attended the meeting and exchanged views and information. The results were published in 2005.
