今年度,行ったわれわれの研究は,大きく分けると,職業性ストレスに関する理論的な研究,高度情報化した産業社会における職業性ストレスの実証的研究の2つである.前者は,情報化の進展が職業性のストレッサーやストレスにどのような影響を及ぼしているのかを,標準的な方法,あるいは国際的に通用する方法で,研究を行うために有用であった。後者に関しては,前年度に引き続き,ソフトウェア技術者の職業性ストレスに関する調査研究と,出版流通業を対象にした職場のOA化と働き方の変容に関するヒアリング調査を行った.ソフトウェア技術者調査は,電算労の協力を得て,1720人の回答が得られた.昨年度に比べ,1000人未満の企業従業員が半数と大きな割合を占め,企業規模による違いを検討できた.労働・職場環境評価を比較した結果,100人未満の企業では,仕事量が多く,プロジェクトの流動性が高い傾向にあり,大規模企業では,社内でのコミュケーションに障害がでやすいことが指摘できた.また,ユーザーのニーズの把握の難しさ,ユーザーからの使用変更等に関する情報の得難さは,規模によらず共通していた.そして,精神的ストレス度をみると,100人未満の企業の技術者の方が,相対的に強く感じていることが指摘できた.この成果を,電算労が発表したところ,情報産業新聞などマスコミで取り上げられ,注目された.出版流通業のヒヤリングでは,比較的大手の企業では,VANを使った,流通企業と書店を結ぶPOSシステムが導入されており,営業担当者,仕入担当者の働き方が,ここ3,4年の内に大きく変わってきたことが聞き取れた.すなわち,情報化の進展によって,仕事自体の密度は高くなったこと,自分で計画的に仕事に取り組んでいくことが重要になってきたこと,売れ筋の情報分析が重要になってきたこと,精神的プレッシャーは高まっていること,などを明らかにすることができた.
