项目摘要

研究活動の成果として以下の3点が挙げられよう。1 この度の調査によって、おそらくは東北地方では初めて、各種研究機関の実態並びに地域科学技術政策に関する意向分布が把握された。特に研究活動でみると、農林・水産分野、物質・材料・加工分野、情報・電子・通信・ソフト分野が活発であり、将来重視すべき分野として、そこにライフサイエンス、環境、生活・教育・文化分野が待望されている。共同研究では大学の役割が他の研究機関に比べて相対的に大きく現れており、将来重視すべき分野との関わりにおいても、幅広く基礎研究をカバーしている大学の役割が今後もますます重要になることを教えている。研究種別では大学が基礎研究に、国立・公設試験研究機関が応用研究に、民間が開発研究に重きを置き、研究者の人数ではほぼ種別に均等に分布していることが確認された。その他、テクノポリス、東北インテリジェントコスモスに関する参加度、期待度が明らかにされた。2 調査活動の一環として、新しく出発をみた郡山テクノプラザ、秋田県高度技術研究所、かながわサイエンスパークを訪問し、地域科学技術政策に関して聞き取り、意見交換を行った。郡山テクノプラザの場合は、広大なテクノパークの中核的存在として位置づけられ展開が図られること、秋田の場合は垂直磁気記録志向の純然たる研究所であり研究スタッフの確保に特徴がみられること、都市型のかながわサイエンスパークは大規模で、インキュベート機能としての産業化支援策の展開が参考になった。3 他の研究班との交流を通じ、種種多様な情報、話題に接することができ、また多くの研究者たちが現代の科学技術の問題に正面から取り組んでいる姿に触れ、啓発されると同時に、また視野を広げることができた。
