项目摘要

地方都市の社会構造と階級・階層構造および社会的移動について資料・文献を検討し、その構造と動態を明らかにするうえでの問題点と課題を整理した。具体的な地方都市の分析にあたっては、富山テクノポリスの2市4町と信濃川テクノポリス8市6町1村を主たる対象とした。富山テクノポリスは、創造的技術立国、環日本海時代の技術的リーダーシップ、北陸の技術中枢および技術立県の中枢としての役割を担っており、人口定住と地域経済の活性化、地域技術振興、母都市再開発および新たな文化創造への効果が期待されている。信濃川テクノポリスは、「環日本海時代を先端をきってリードする産業技術交流の都市圏形成」を基本理念とし、経済波及効果、産業構造の高度化、雇用効果および人口定住促進効果が期待されている。両テクノポリス地域ともに、圏域市町村の総合計画、世論調査、工業開発と企業立地などその社会構造の分析に要する資料・文献の整理検討を行なった。とくに長岡市では、雲出、新産業センターおよび南部の各工業団地において産業活動と雇用問題を中心に企業調査を行なった。信濃川テクノポリス地域の人口は、昭和55年〜平成2年に、大きな変化はない。しかし、柏崎市、長岡市の増加と栃尾市、加茂市の減少が目立つ。雇用者の産業別構成では、製造業とサービス業の増加が著しく、前者は小千谷市、長岡市で、後者は燕市、柏崎市、長岡市でとくに目立つ。雇用者の職業別構成は、技術工・生産工程作業者および労務作業者が46.5%をしめるが、栃尾市で60%、小千谷市、加茂市、見附市、燕市、分水町、栄町、刈羽村、三島町では50%をそれぞれ越えている。就業による地域的移動は圏域内で活発であり、母都市長岡市へは、見附市、越路町、小千谷市、三島町から多く流入し、長岡市からは、小千谷市、越路町、見附市、柏崎市へ流出している。圏域外では、新潟市との流入・流出が目立つ。
