项目摘要

自然な発話状況における対話文では、言いよどみ、言い直しなどの現象や、意味はよく分かるが文法的にはおかしい文が多く発生するため、従来の自然言語処理よりも意味を主体として解析を進める必要性が強く感じられている。本研究ではまず、チャンクという概念について日常会話における談話の流れの分析を行い、「意味作り」という視点を重視した立場をとる。具体的には、会話の意味作りはチャンクの接合、即ちチャンク連鎖をその機制として行うと考える。昨年度は‘you know'と‘I mean'をdiscourse markerとして着目し、それが意味作りの過程で果たす役割を明らかにした。今年度はもう1つのdiscourse markerである‘because'を取り上げて、チャンク連鎖モデルにおける役割について考察した。また、本研究では、柔軟な意味解析機構を持ったモデルの構築を目標のひとつとし、それに適した意味理解法や概念辞書が持つべき構造と機能に関して基礎的な検討を行った。今年度は動詞とその目的語となる名詞の間の意味的な相互作用について研究を進めた。動詞の意味の特徴は名詞と同様に柔軟に変化するものであり、目的語となる名詞が動詞の意味変動に大きな影響を与えていることが明らかになった。次に、これらの動詞と名詞の意味を記述するための特徴(feaTure)の記述法、特定の仕方を調べるために,動詞はbreakに関する12個の日本語動詞,目的語は80個の具体物に関する名詞へ拡張し、受容性に関する認知心理実験を行った。その結果、それらの動詞と名詞が直観とよく整合するカテゴリーに分類できることがわかった。
