大学において教育・研究で使用される化学物質はその種類が極めて多く、そのエミッションは環境に対する負荷および社会に対する影響が大きい。そこで、本研究では、大学が保有する化学物質のデータベースを作成し、さらにゼロエミッションシステムを目指した化学物質管理システムの構築を試みた。まず、化学物質データベースの作成を目的として、工学部応用化学系の講座が保管している化学物質の実態を調査し、それぞれの化学物質(容器)にID番号を発行した。調査項目としては、化学物質の名称、CAS番号、量、グレード、形態、製造メーカーとともに、購入日、開封日、譲渡意志の有無、廃棄希望の有無を設定した。その結果、化学系の代表的な講座では、総数で500〜3,000本、種類にして400〜2,000種、量として100〜300kgの化学物質を保管していることが明らかになった。さらに、作成されたデータに化学物質の危険性および毒性に関する情報を付与し、管理システムのデータベースとした。また、大学内に存在する化学物質の種類、総数、総量を把握し、さらには大学内での化学物質の相互利用を可能にすることを目的とする化学物質管理システムを検討した。本システムでは、各講座の管理責任者が化学物質の新規購入時に管理システム下にある各講座の化学物質リストに登録し、そこでID番号(ラベル)の発行を受ける。リストは定期的に見直され、保管量、使用完了、譲渡希望、廃棄希望等のデータを更新する。管理システムでは、ID番号により学内の化学物質を一元的に管理する。さらに、登録されている化学物質に関するデータより、大学内にインプットされた化学物質の量、種類、使用状況、滞留時間、死蔵率、再利用の可能性、廃棄率等を調査することができる。現在、工学部応用化学系15講座において試験運転中である。

There are many kinds of chemicals used in education and research, and their impact on the environment and society is great. This study is aimed at establishing a system for the management of chemical substances. The purpose of preparation of chemical substances is to investigate the state of chemical substances and to issue ID numbers for chemical substances (containers) stored in the Department of Applied Chemistry of the Engineering Department. The investigation item, name of chemical substance, CAS number, quantity, form, production mode, date of purchase, date of opening, existence of transit intention, existence of abandonment hope are set. The total number of lectures given by representatives of the Department of Chemistry is 500 ~ 3,000 copies, the types are 400 ~ 2,000 kinds, and the amount is 100 ~ 300kg. Information on the hazards and toxicities of chemical substances is provided and managed. To understand the types, amounts and quantities of chemical substances present in universities, and to discuss the possible use of chemical substances in universities. This system is responsible for the management of each seminar, the management of the new regulations on the purchase of chemical substances, the registration of chemical substances in each seminar, and the development of ID numbers. Lisitot will be updated regularly with data such as current status, storage volume, usage, hope for survival, and hope for abandonment. The amount, type, usage status, residence time, death rate, possibility of reuse, and rejection rate of chemical substances in universities were investigated.
