Historical study of the educational physical apparatus collected by College of Kyoto and College of Kanazawa

I collected a lot of physical apparatus catalog after the Meiji era. I made a surveying and drawing instrument catalog collected in department of graphics and geology of College of Kyoto. About 136 items of surveying and drawing instruments collected by College of Kyoto, I and Tetsuo Miyoshi made the catalog which described the manufacturer name, the purchase price and the purchase year with a photograph of an instrument. We made the 30 copies of the catalog (43 pages), and distributed them to research organizations and researchers. I studied a history of the sound apparatus collected by College of Kyoto and College of Kanazawa. In particular, I studied, air gun and sound transmission apparatus, four sides rotating mirror and sound wave form analysis and Lissajous figure and sound frequency measuremeant. I made an announcement of those results in the Physical Society of Japan in March, 2007. I made a collection catalog of the book plates related to the physical apparatus. A plate in the physics textbook and in the instrument catalog is useful to follow a history of each experimental apparatus. We are able to know how to use the apparatus and purpose of use from those plates.
