The project aims at the rapid dissemination of research findings of societal relevance from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover Foundation, from basic research to application-oriented topics and clinical research. Here, the promotion of Open Access contributes significantly to the visibility of research results. We aim to further increase the number of OA publications by the university's corresponding authors in the coming years. The volume of publications in OA journals shall be promoted and the OA transformation as a whole shall be supported. The clearly focused range of subjects at the university offers the opportunity to monitor the OA publishing behavior in detail. In addition, we want to improve the internal administrative processes monitoring publication costs and activities to get a more precise overview of OA publication types and cost flows.
