Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin (ASH Berlin) promotes Open Access by numerous means. In order to support authors of the institution financially the publication of articles shall be fostered by a complementary grant, provided the scientific quality is ensured. Scientists at early stages of their career will be specifically promoted. ASH Berlin intends to increase the number of Open Access publications and integrate publication services into the libraries service portfolio. Furthermore ASH Berlin seeks to improve the internal monitoring process of publications and costs of Open Access publishing.
