项目摘要

本研究は自然観・世界観と地球環境問題の関係を歴史的・文明論的に追求することを目的としている。平成3年度は諸文明圏における自然観と環境問題の関係の調査・研究を実施した。平成3年10月19日、11月16日、平成4年2月1日の3回の研究会をあわせて実施した。上垣外憲一は「仏教教典のレトリックと日本人の自然観」、加藤尚武は「環境倫理学の諸問題」、神川正彦は「比較文明学からみた環境問題」、山折哲雄は「十と卍ー分割と循環のイマジネ-ションー」、樺山紘一は「歴史における身体再考」、竹市明弘は「環境問題と自然の理念」、久野昭は「人・自然・技術」について調査研究発表をおこなった。平成4年2月13日ー16日の間、北九州市の八幡製鉄所を訪問し、日本における製鉄産業と環境問題の関係について調査を実施した。以上の調査研究によって人類の自然観・世界観が現代の地球環境問題の根源に深くかかわっていることが明白になった。人類と地球を救済する新たな文明の構築のためにいかなる自然観・世界観を構築すればよいのかについて、あるていどの見通しをえることができた。
