自律分散システムや分散人工知能システムのような、組織形態や制御構造が構成主体の自律性や協調関係に依存する協調処理の構築基盤確立に向けて、集団行動の抽象化を図るべく、(1)集団の組織形態、(2)主体間の相互作用、(3)各主体の動作という3つの記述要素の内で、本研究では特に相互作用に焦点を当てた。そして、場の概念に基づく通信という最下層の基本相互作用機構の上に高いレベルでの主体間相互作用の抽象化とその階層化を実現することで、すでに提案している協調処理モデルの拡充を目指した。研究実施計画に従って研究を進め、本年度は下記のような成果を得た。1.主体間相互作用の分析:自律性を持つ主体の集団が全体として一つの目的に向けて作業を行う場合の相互作用について分析を行った。具体的な項目は、主体間の相互干渉、利害対立の調停や合意の達成などである。2.計算機上でのモデル化:上の分析結果に基づいて、相互作用のモデルをすでに処理系を作成している協調処理言語の上に実現して評価した。具体的には、利害が一致する状況での協調、相補的な状況での協調、利害対立の解消と二者間の合意の達成などである。3.言語処理系の拡充と改良:上と同時に、現在の協調処理言語処理系について、LispからCに移行することで処理系の大幅な高速化を実現するとともに、自己言及機構と永続性機構の導入による基本相互作用機構の拡充に成功した。また、制約機構の有機的な導入について基本的なアイデアを得た。
