我々T班は、昨5月にはじめての会合を持ち、1年間の活動計画について話しあった。その結果以下の2つの方針を確認した。(1)本班独自の大規模な研究会を年に少なくとも1度開催する。(2)他班の研究会に積極的に出席し発言する。1年間を振り返り、この2つの基本方針に基づいた我々の研究活動はある程度の成果を挙げたものと考える。(1)については89年1月に京都橘女子大学で3名の方々による本格的な研究発表と討論の会を開催した。前近代イスラーム世界の東半に特徴的なトルコ・モンゴル系遊牧民と都市との関係に焦点を絞った研究会で今後の我々の研究にとって極めて有意義なものであった。発表者と題目は次の通りである。久保一之「ティムール朝時代のヘラートにおける文化活動とその背景」杉山正明「モンゴル帝国の首都と首都圏」濱田正美「Satuq Bogra Homのマザールをめぐって」・30名を越える出席者と発表者の間で活発な議論が交わされたが、研究発表自体とこの討論の記録は目下整理編集中で来年度早々には刊行の予定である。また次回研究会は明6月に開催されることが既に決定しており、今後は年2回のペースで研究会を組織する予定である。第2の目的については、羽田がD班のシンポジウムに報告者として出席し、高橋は総括班主催国際セミナーで発表を行ない、山内は総括班とK班共催の国際セミナーでレポーターとして発言するなど、各自が種々の研究会に参加し知見を深めた。これらの研究会によって得られた新しい着相や知見は、いずれ各自が論文の形で公にする予定である。
