本研究では、発達障害児における社会性と衝動性について、報酬の価値割引という共通の枠組みを用いて検討する。報酬の価値割引とは、報酬の主観的な価値が、社会要因や時間要因によって割り引かれることである。これまでの研究で、これらの割引の程度が高いことは、様々な問題行動や不適応につながることが明らかにされている。基課題の研究目的は、ASD児およびADHD児を対象に、社会要因による価値割引（社会割引）と、時間要因による価値割引（遅延割引）を測定し、社会性と衝動性について定量的に分析することであった。そのために、新たな価値割引実験の装置を開発し、アセスメントツールとしての適用可能性を検討することを目的としていた。本研究課題の目的は、価値割引実験を応用したアセスメントツールと、アセスメントに基づく治療プログラムを開発することである。ASD児およびADHD児における社会性と衝動性との関係や、それらの背景にある要因を明らかにした上で、アセスメントに基づく治療プログラムの開発を目指す。2022年度は、それまでに国内で収集したデータを再分析し、国際共同研究として、新たな実験装置の開発に取り組むための課題を整理した。海外共同研究者がこれまでの研究で用いている複数の方法と、研究代表者が基課題の研究で用いている方法とを比較し、報酬および割引要因の条件、試行数、結果の分析方法等について共通点と相違点をまとめた。2023年度は、海外研究機関において、海外共同研究者と共同で価値割引実験の装置の開発に取り組み、これを用いて、ASD児およびADHD児を対象とした実験を実施する。その後、価値割引実験を応用したアセスメントツールと治療プログラムを開発する。
